Description:

The Certified Financial Planner (CFP) is part of the Service Management team.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years’ experience developing personal financial retirement plans in the wealth industry in Canada preferable with one of the Chartered banks and comfortable in value add offering to our members.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Initiate discovery sessions with our plan members, educating them on the benefits of a financial retirement plan

  • Analyze members financial status (eg. income, expenses, investments and liabilities)

  • Prepare sound a financial retirement plan to assist our members in meeting their retirement goals

  • Monitor progress and adjust according to changing member needs

  • Advise members on current financial issues and make recommendations

  • Generate new business and build strong relationships

 

Desired Competencies:

  • CFP accreditation and experience.

  • Undergraduate/graduate degree in a quantitative discipline (i.e. Business, Economics, Math)

  • 5-10 years of industry experience in the wealth management field.

  • Ability to analyze financial information

  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools and Navi planning software

  • Attention to detail and strong math skills

  • Very organized, excellent communication and presentation skills, works well under pressure.

  • Knowledge of investment trends and styles and ability to analyze, critique, and evaluate multiple styles and have the ability to explain investment concepts cogently

  • Exceptional customer service orientation

  • Business intelligence with the ability to understand complex stakeholder demands

  • Team player with the ability to build strong relationships externally and internally
